About Kate

No, therapy with me is much more relaxed.

You will be welcomed into a comfortable office. Through the course of our sessions, there may be some tears, often there is laughter… And sometimes there is even the occasional awkward silences!
But overall, it should feel a bit like a weekly meeting with that one friend who really cares about you and is really good at helping you sort out your stuff.
I am here to spend an hour a week focused on you, helping you to feel your emotions, make sense of your patterns, sometimes to challenge you, but through it all always, always supporting and rooting for you!
It will be my absolute honor to hear your story, support you in your struggles, and help you meet your goals!

In therapist jargon, I practice from an integrated model of therapy primarily from a psychodynamic and attachment-oriented lens, borrowing from self-psychology, existentialism, and AEDP treatment approaches.

I have a husband, a toddler and little babe, and a completely unmanageable fluffy pup. So when I say I am in this life with you, I mean it!

I graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University, am licensed through the state of Kansas (#LPC 03896).
I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and belong to the American Counselors Association and the counseling society Chi Sigma Iota.

Reach out today! You deserve healing and support.

Therapy in real life isn’t like what you usually see on tv.
